The Position
About the team
The POS (point of sale) team builds the product that serves as a restaurant's center of operations. It takes orders, sends orders to the kitchen, and takes payments all while integrating and coordinating with the rest of the Wonders ecosystem of products.
Role:
- Technical lead for the POS product team on Android
- Building our POS system from 0 to 1 and iterating to create a world class product
- Partnering with product, design and other stakeholders to advance the product vision, and iterate on customer feedback
- Actively collaborating with other leaders to source and recruit the best talent to Wonders.
Requirements
- BS / MS / PhD in Computer Science or related field
- 1+ year POS and/or Payment Platforms
- 5+ years of Android Native mobile experience, with either Java or Kotlin
- Experience delivering mobile products to a large customer base
- Proven technical leadership in guiding teams, shipping great products, hands-on engineering, and leading critical projects to production
- Strong product sense and intuition
- Track record of shipping high-quality products and features at scale
Bonus points:
- Passion for the restaurant industry or restaurant technology
- Experience building products from 0 to 1
